Dr Fiona Foo is an experienced General Clinical and Interventional Cardiologist.
She has interests in Interventional cardiology and has extensive experience in performing Coronary Angiography, Angioplasty and Stents. She also has interests in Women and Heart Disease; Sports Cardiology; Climate Change and Cardiovascular Disease; non traditional risk factors for Cardiovascular Disease (eg autoimmune/inflammatory diseases such as Psoriasis and Rheumatoid; and mental health disorders) and Preoperative Cardiac assessment of patients prior to Non cardiac surgery.
She is one of the first females of South East Asian (Malaysian-Chinese) descent, to become an Interventional Cardiologist in Australia. She is one of <20 female Interventional Cardiologists in Australia
She promotes an Active and Healthy Lifestyle to her patients. She is also passionate about International probono aid work, particularly in Fiji and Nepal.
She is an active member of Doctors for the Environment Australia (NSW committee) and started the Macquarie University Hospital Sustainability Committee.
